Thursday night - football night - room at the bar - fast service - friendly bartender - cold beer in the bottle. No food tonight. Overall, a good time at Miller's Ale House.

Gute Sportatmosphäre, aber Schwächen bei der Sauberkeit: Miller’s Ale House nahe Waterford Lakes Für einen kurzen Zwischenstopp auf ein paar Bierchen wählten wir das Miller’s Ale House ganz in der Nähe der Waterford Lakes Town Center. Da wir nicht essen, sondern lediglich etwas trinken wollten, fragte man uns am Eingang direkt sehr freundlich, ob wir an der Bar Platz nehmen möchten, was wir gerne annahmen. Die Stimmung im Laden war richtig gut. An der Bar saßen bereits einige Gäste, die gespannt die verschiedenen College-Football-Spiele verfolgten, welche auf zahllosen Fernsehern rundum liefen. Ein klasse Ort, um entspannt Sport zu schauen. Beim Getränk entschieden wir uns passenderweise für ein Miller, was sich rückblickend für unseren Geschmack als Enttäuschung herausstellte, da ich dieses Bier geschmacklich deutlich besser in Erinnerung hatte. Das lag natürlich an unserer eigenen Wahl, war aber schade. Die Bedienung an der Bar war hingegen nett und absolut in Ordnung. Ein paar Abstriche gibt es bei der Hygiene: Das Lokal hätte insgesamt einen gepflegteren Eindruck machen können, da die Toiletten nicht sonderlich sauber waren und auch die Theke gründlicher hätte abgewischt werden können. Alles in allem hatten wir dort aber einen wirklich unterhaltsamen Abend, weshalb man für ein kühles Getränk und eine Sportübertragung definitiv mal reinschauen kann.

Visited for food and drinks only. Reasonable prices for both food and drink and staff are fast and extremely friendly. Plenty of televisions about to watch sports. Beware Sundays when NFL is on as all tvs show all NFL games and they won't change test to show other sports.

Upon entering, my server Hannah was both attentive and communicative despite how busy she was - hosting, running a giant to-go order to the front, and packing it up. She even kindly let me select my table anywhere in the whole well air-conditioned restaurant even if it wasn’t in her section, a nice, sturdy, clean, comfortable booth fitting up to six people by myself so I could watch one of my favorite NFL teams, after the Jaguars of course, on a Monday Night after a long hard day of work with very little time to eat. I tend to love Miller’s Ale House all across Florida and Jacksonville after years of working late nights in restaurants and love that they are still open even after my shifts have ended. Over the years my priorities have changed and though I no longer partake in the “Ale” part of Ale House, I’m glad I can find a healthy meal after a gym session or after work or on the way home. The steak was cooked to temperature and they had all the ingredients they needed for my sides. She was able to take my order right away and had all my needed sauces and utensils ready, as she let me run to my car to grab something I forgot, and my food arrived shortly after. Despite the upsetting loss of my team, the level of effort and professionalism she showed was the difference maker in my experience tonight. I was so used to inattentive bartenders and servers that are too busy closing or chatting to other tables or even each other that I ended up running late getting back to work midday even though it was down the street or increasingly too tired to drive home late at night, not being glued to her phone the whole time. She was not overly hovering allowing me to focus on my studies. My to go order to my family back home, though complicated, was accurately and considerately packed and timed according to the time of my leaving in order that it remain hot and cold in my separate temperature preserving bags, and was also cooked to temperature. The manager on duty, Sharron, runs a tight ship. Hannah’s professionalism and level of effort is a reflection of his leadership. I had even seen her running out to the parking lot to return an item left behind, just in time! You’ll catch me here driving past the two closer to my house to catch the NFL or during my break requesting Hannah’s section! Having recently received a blessing, she even kindly checked with me before financially expressing my gratitude as to her level of service. Honest and hard-working. Even considerate of her kitchen staff all wanting to go home.

Very nice experience on a busy football Sunday. Food was great , service as well , thank you Leo and special thanks to Heather for taking care of business and making our evening pleasant!!
